Broker's Comments
When stepping aboard her you can immediately tell this is a quality Yacht, very well built using quality materials with a very cleverly designed internal helm (Joy Stick) position.
Very light and airy down below with a very attractive interior colour combination.
She has undergone extensive improvements and upgrades over the last 2 years, and if you are looking for a spacious safe and capable Yacht, which requires little or no investment to bring her to an exceptional standard this is the one for you.
Her lifting keel has been completely overhauled, Standing and Running rigging replaced as required, new windows, extensive range of navigation equipment added, wiring/electrics/batteries renewed, engine serviced, auto prop, new lazy jacks/stack pack.......the list goes on.
I sold the current owners last Yacht and he was equally fastidious with her too, its all just got to be spot on!
Only 3 owners from new and comes with a Inflatable and Outboard
The Mk II has a drop keel redesigned by Rob Humphries, all the Southerly's have fixed ballast in the form of a wide 'pancake' iron casting which acts as a grounding plate, through which drops an aerofoil section cast iron swing keel, which pivots on a stainless steel bearing, and is raised and lowered by a hydraulic ram - this is powered by an electrically driven pump, operated from the cockpit. There is though a hand operated back-up. The keel can be locked up or down.
