Broker's Comments
This yacht is a lovely example of these well sought-after craft!
When I stepped aboard this Hunter Legend 38, she gives the impression of being a much larger boat. This is the bilge keel version which enables you to explore those creeks and shallows, dry her out on sandy beaches and harbours and also benefit from using drying moorings.
The accommodation is impressive; being the owners version she has the large aft cabin and access to the ensuite and shower. The forward cabin is another very spacious double berth. She has a lovely feeling of space below with a really large and well laid out galley saloon area.
Her cockpit is also very large and spacious with the really nice features of port and starboard corner seats on the stern rails. She appears to have been very well cared for.
Sailing wise, it could not be any easier. She has a furling in mast main and furling foresail and the cockpit is fitted with the Legend's substantial stainless “A” frame which supports the main sheet track and keeps the boom at a nice safe height above the crew's heads. When motoring, her 29hp engine will cruise happily at 5 to 6 knots.
I feel she would make a good family boat, or, for the more adventurous, a long range cruiser. She could also be considered for a live aboard.
She is very well equipped with a great array of electronic instruments including wind instruments, chart plotter and an auto pilot.
There is also a local a swing mooring available which is transferable.
I don’t think she’ll hang around for long so please don’t hesitate to contact me for further details or to book a viewing!
