Broker's Comments

Bowman yachts are renowned for being well built and having great ocean going capability, and this yacht is no exception, In fact this particular boat is unique in that she is the only 46' Ketch ever built. Designed by Holman and Pye. she was built especially for the 1972 single-handed transatlantic yacht race which she completed in 33 days and 9 hours giving her a handicapped placing of fifteenth. Since then she has spent many years cruising the blue waters off the east coast of America, the Caribbean and the Cayman Islands. She was brought back to the UK in 2004.
It would be fair to say that she requires more than just a little TLC, but time and money would be well spent on her. Restored back to her former glory, she would provide her new owner with a unique ocean going yacht, with spacious live aboard accommodation.
