Broker's Comments
This very handsome Beneteau sloop is a way beyond a "better-than-average" example of a roomy and well built yacht from the late '70's. Fin keeled she should be a delight to sail and offers proven accommodation for a family of four or five.
But where this yacht is simply stunning and really stands out from the crowd is down below. As you step down the into the yacht you would truly believe that you are stepping onto a new boat, I did!
All her upholstery, headlining's and floors were completely removed and renewed in 2012, and what a stunning job they made of it.
Her seat cushions and mattresses are covered in a beautifully finished leather upholstery in a lovely warm colour which is complimented further by her leather headlining throughout, finished with impeccably hand crafted stitching.
The owner informs me that this boat was fully refurbished in 2012 which included the engine, electrical systems, standing and running rigging, the installation of heating, shore power and all internal fittings. She also had a new sprayhood installed along with teak flooring. She has even had her keel professionally removed re fitted with new keel bolts and re sealed with extra supports fitted. All of this work is documented and can be reviewed onboard.
It is very hard to believe the age of the boat when you are onboard, a truly remarkable transformation and a testament to the hard work, expense and attention to detail that has been paid to this yacht.
She feels reassuringly solid and would be ideal for someone looking for their first boat or someone looking for something with great sailing ability and capable of crossing the Channel as well as coastal passages, with plenty of room for crew.
Please contact me for an early viewing as soon as possible. You won't be disappointed!
