Broker's Comments
This charming houseboat is full of character. Originally built in the 1930's, as a working farm boat on the Dutch waterways, she is now a delightful liveaboard. There is acres of space out on deck, starting at the stern with an area in the cockpit currently utilised as a mini garden and area to sit outside, through to open space on the foredeck. The wheelhouse makes a wonderful place for lounging and leads down into the main saloon, with comfortable seating and a recently fitted multi fuel stove, for when cosyness is required. Further forward is a separate galley, with good worktop space, space for appliances, storage and domestic chores. Moving further forward is the first double cabin, currently utilised as a study and leading into the double cabin, furthest forward.
On visiting the boat, it was apparent that the owners have invested significant time and thought into creating a tidy and appealing living environment, which is perfect as a unique floating home, with the ability to relocate when required.
Becky is moored on a private residential mooring complete with yachtstore provided by and rented through Essex Waterways. The mooring may be agreed through interview and vetting procedure by the Waterways and is subject to a residential transfer fee.
