Description
Aqua Star 33 Ocean Ranger Aft Cabin

Excellent Accomodation for a 33 boat, not sure how you find more space for the length of boat.
Molded 1986. commissioned 1990.
2 of Ford Sabre 180hp Turbo Diesel engines Serviced 2018
connection to Hurth Gearboxes and shafts to 3 bladed props.
twin rudders
semi displacement hull with central keel.

This is a proper motorboat. easy to handle with twin engines, you can place it anywhere easily in tight spaces. Great Seaboat on commercial hull with full keel for good tracking. Approx 7 tonnes. She can achieve about 17 knots, but we cruise at about 10-12 knots generally as it seems to be a sweet spot for comfort and economy.

Layout as follows.

Upper helm position on rear deck area with all controls and guages. Spray Canopy with removable windscreen and side panels. Frames in position for a rear camper cover.
Ladder down to bathing platform

Door and steps into Main Saloon area. Main saloon has L shaped seating around a folding teak table on Port side. Bench seating opposite. Seat at helm position. Helm position with all controls and gauges and switch panels on Stb side. Opening sliding door on port side to side deck. Sliding window next to helm position. Large side windows, hatch above and large flat dash. Upholstery is as new.. Headlinings are in as new condition...

steps down forward , galley located on stb side with opening portlight and light panel in roof. New cooker fitted 2018, all surfaces around cooker and worktops upgraded to commercial stainless steel in 2018 .

Forward head opposite galley with lockers and full size sink. 2 windows with 1 opening portlight. Headlings and lower side linings like new...

Moving forward is a large forward cabin with a double bed with cupboards and a wardrobe and drawers. Hatch above and 3 windows, 1 opening portlight. Water tank beneath bed and storeage beneath bed. Access door to front chain locker. Linings are original and in good usable condition.

Rear large double cabin accessed from aft of wheelhouse down steps. Hatch and 3 windows with an en suit toilet and shower, opening portlight. large wardrobe, drawers, under bed lockers, access to stern gear and heating, access to engine room. Linings are original and in usable condition.

Main saloon furniture is all removable and then ALL the floor panels can be removed and even the floor bearers to get complete access to all machinery and fuel tanks etc from all sides.

New upper helm canopy fitted 2017.

New complete Head and sidelinings in Autumn 2018 in Main Cabin, forward heads compartment and galley. Good quality materials from Sun Seeker ex stock, not plain cheap vinyls. The main cabin was also insulated on the walls and deckhead at the same time. A brand new Lewmar hatch was also fitted in main cabin at the same time.

New main cabin upholstery in Autumn 2018 in blue marine grade eco-suede.

Captain Navy Blue Hull (originally Navy blue gel, but was faded and painted in International 2 pack paint around 15 years ago. Paint in good condition.

Underside of Hull has been Gelshield protected from new, this was refereshed in 2005 with hull survey to prove. There is alot of history with the boat from the previous owner. The previous owner being the original owner of the boat when commissioned.

ALL Seacocks and thru full skin fittings were removed completely and replaced in 2017 at great expense and time, all hoses to toilets and engines from them were also replaced at the same time. 2 new toilets fitted 2017.
New Vetus Engine water traps fitted at same time. Racor style diesel filters fitted in early 2018.

New fenders and warps 2017/18.

New cooker fitted 2018

New hardwearing carpets fitted 2018 through out the boat. ( carpets can be lifted out easily to access underneath)

Saloon table has drop leaves, folds, turns and drops for flexibility in space and seating. see photos

Bluefin underwater light fitted in transom

Diesel Generator fitted but untested so far, Turns over ok but wont fire at moment, maybe a fuse, stop relay etc.

Pressurised hot and cold water in both heads and galley.

Autopilot fitted at upperhelm, although we haven't used it thus far it does power up.

There are currently no davits fitted as the original ones were not great. I know where some stainless davits are at the moment to buy, however last year we used the boat with the tender pulled up against the transom, snap davits on the bathing platform would work well and reduce the LOA of the boat to make it cheaper berthing.

In general good order. We have been using this boat regularly since June 2017 on weekends and extended holidays around the solent.

PLEASE NOTE THE BELOW.

The boat cleans up well, the out of water photos are from June 2017, she cleans up like this quite easily if you want her sparkling, she is in normal used condition at the moment. The photos in the marina are from Sept 2018 Other photos are from August 2017 through to now..

She is a good solid boat with the fundamentals all sorted, she is priced keenly compared to other Aquastars and this reflects the older engine installation. I am only selling as a boat my father built 25 years agi came on the market and I bought that recently. This has been a great motorboat which we have loaded up with all our gear (ribs, paddleboards, bikes etc for adventures).

This boat would work in most situations, great sea boat, use on river or even use on French Canals etc or even as a liveaboard boat, it really is amazingly spacious for 33 feet.
